Last time I checked, you don’t eat your friends, unless you are Hannibal Lecter. Above is a photograph of man’s best friend. All around the world these furry (and not so furry) canine creatures make life better for their fellow humans, for the most part at least. Many are highly intelligent the most loyal friend you can find. They provide safety and security, love and care and even food! Yes, that is right; dog meat is enjoyed as a delicacy in places like Vietnam. Perhaps bizarre: but certainly true. After all, it is a dog-eat-dog world.

Dog meat is an exquisite gourmet dish. Perhaps teaching these people how to indulge in chocolate will do the trick; maybe finding some in the shapes of dogs just like rabbits around Easter time.
Having spent some time in Asia in 2016 I was shocked to find the dog meat industry very much in practice and REAL. I spent several hours on youtube watching videos and fortunately, I came across Soi Dog Foundation. https://www.soidog.org/
I have volunteered for the Soy Dog Foundation while in South East Asia which is a foundation that rescues dogs from being exported to Vietnam for the Dog meat industry.
I watched Hachiko on repeat! It is a film about a dogs loyalty to his owner in which the Hachiko’s heart and care for his owner surpass that of many humans relationships. Yet we still eat these loyal companions.
Dogs do differ from other animals that we eat across the world. They are trained as guide dogs, sent to war and there is one who can even drive a car.
On Facebook, there are many videos that depict how dogs are rescued from the street and make a full recovery. These tear-jerker videos are a look at the reality of animal cruelty happening across the globe.
